my happy place...

i have an affinity for older houses; the creeks, cracks and imperfections get me every time.  however, i currently live in a town with very few aged gems...which is why i have been thinking (more like dreaming) of building something brand-spanking-new.  i dedicated a board to a new residence all our own on pinterest...then today i glimpsed this danish gem on remodelista...

no, i simply cannot get over the wood nestled in the woods and the windows that make the indoors and outdoors come together magically.  At the very least, we could use beautiful old timbers to build a snazzy new abode.
