my happy place...

those of you who have been on a big house hunt, more than likely know the feeling of losing the one you had your heart set on.  most of the time we ended up with exactly the right thing, but there are a few that i still think of from time to time (4 to be exact).  

this new york country house reminds me so much of one of those...

of course, since it was one that had gotten away, i may have romanticized it a bit over the years.  in my mind it looked very similar to this home designed by owners calvin tsao and zack mcknown of tsoa & mcknown architects.  

i personally can't wait for the next one we get to keep.
