Blissful Corners: Velvet

when i say "blissful corners" i do not mean angular corner exactly...i mean a spot, which actually could be the middle of your room, that is all you. a corner you could sit in all afternoon with a cup of tea (or wine) and feel cozy, comfortable and proud; proud of the pieces you have put together to create this beautiful sanctuary. the idea, is also, that this corner will spread to the rest of your home...i am trying with the french residence everyday. dividing homes into blissful corners seems so much more within grasp than even a room at a time. life is always easier when you break it into pieces right?

this week the element i am focusing on is the addition of velvet to your blissful corner. i have loved velvet for what seems like forever...this rich, beautiful fabric never fails to add a touch of glamor and warmth to a space. also, a little goes a long way...a pillow can be just right. however, a lot is lovely as well...i am dying for a velvet sectional.
