As many of you know, there was a time when photography (the kind taken with a real camera) was a huge part of who I am and what I did here on Bliss. Times change...thanks to the prevalence of phone photography and the accessibility of the camera phone, my old school photos fell to the wayside. Which is crazy, because some of my all-time favorite photos and moments were trapped inside my trusty DSLR. One of those “top 5” moments I had sadly neglected was the trip my family and I took to Iceland a few years back.

We had the privilege of experiencing this magical place with our dearest friends...one of whom is an Icelandic native. Due to the importance of this moment I lugged my big girl camera along and attempted to capture this place that was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I also took my phone. No surprise at all, my phone photos fell short. However, the photos taken with my big camera did not disappoint. I knew I needed to display a few of these in a very special way.
