Take a Gander Friday: Annie Galvin

Annie Galvin.  She came to the states from Wexford in Ireland (hence "Wexford Girl") and put down roots in San Francisco.  I am so delighted she did!  I am not quite sure how I originally stumbled upon her amazing talents, but thank goodness for happy accidents.

I immediately fell head over heels for her whimsical bears and continued to fall hard from then on.  Simply put, her work makes me happpy and causes me to giggle on occasion.  There is nothing more endearing than a delightful bear in a Mexican wrestling mask.  Her paintings of french women make me swoon (thanks Fog and Thistle for the sweet descriptive phrase).  After reading her bios, checking out her wonderful masterpieces here, here, and here,  I want to be her friend, share a bottle of wine and pick her magical brain to find out how she comes up with her superb pieces.

If you are in San Francisco go check out her work at Louis Hair Salon (details above).  Come on you know you want to.
